THE SHORT ANSWER

Use:

1 filling main 2 sides 1 dessert water + coffee/tea if useful + 1 fun drink

Example:

That is brunch.

You do not need nine miniature foods because nine miniature foods photograph well.

This is one piece of the shower. Finish this decision here. If you want the rest already put in order, the Bridal Shower Short Plan carries you from invitation to cleanup.

01 — Let the clock decide whether this is a meal

A shower from 11:30–2:30 is lunch.

Feed people accordingly.

A 9:30–11:30 shower can be lighter.

A 1:30–3:30 shower can be lighter depending on local expectations.

At noon, fruit and cake are snacks; add a recognizable main.

02 — Pick one filling main

Choose one route.

QUICHE / FRITTATA

Quiche/frittata + two sides + dessert.

SANDWICH

Croissant sandwiches, tea sandwiches, sliders, or substantial pinwheels + two sides + dessert.

HOT BRUNCH

Egg/breakfast casserole + two sides + dessert.

SWEET MAIN

French toast casserole, waffles, or pancakes + protein side + fruit. Dessert can be smaller.

One route.

Do not serve four mains because each one was “easy.”

03 — Choose two sides

Use one fresh/light and one supporting side.

Examples:

If the main is light, make one side more substantial.

Two sides close the plate.

04 — Use one dessert

Choose:

If pastries are already part of brunch, ask whether a second dessert display is doing a real job.

Protect the bride’s cake preference if she has one.

Then stop.

05 — Make drinks easy to understand

Minimum:

If mimosas are used, give non-drinkers something more celebratory than “there is water.”

Use:

06 — A pitcher is often enough

You do not need a mimosa wall.

If one batched cold drink serves the room, use the pitcher you already own.

IF THIS JOB IS STILL OPEN

A reusable pitcher is a reasonable buy when the host does not own one.

One practical option: Target Threshold ribbed glass pitcher View the Target Threshold Ribbed Glass Pitcher →

No open drink job = no new drinkware.

07 — Charcuterie needs a menu role

A small pretty board is a side/appetizer.

It is not lunch for 30.

If grazing is the main:

Do not let the word “charcuterie” hide the question of whether guests can build a meal.

08 — Favor make-ahead foods

The host already has:

Choose food that can be:

A menu that needs the host frying individual eggs when guests arrive is a bad host menu.

09 — Give hot food an equipment plan

Write:

If four brunch dishes need the oven at once, remove one.

The oven does not care that every recipe was individually “easy.”

10 — Use the existing food guide for quantity

Once the menu is closed, calculate amounts from:

This one owns composition.

STOP

The brunch menu is finished when:

You have one main, two sides, dessert, and drinks. The menu is complete.
