Information you choose to give us
When you join an occasion list, we collect your email address, the occasion you selected, the signup source, and the date of the request. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message. Payhip collects the information needed to complete and document a purchase. When a product includes the Short Plan Builder, we store the planning answers you enter so the plan can save, calculate and produce your completed output.
- We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
- We do not require an account to read the planning guides or download the standard free Ready Page.
- Builder answers may include occasion names, dates, guest counts, budgets, food choices, assignments and other planning notes.
- Do not enter diagnoses, full addresses, payment details or other sensitive information. Record the practical action the plan needs instead.
Information collected as you use the site
The site creates a random browser identifier in local storage. It helps us count guide views, Ready Page activity, product-page clicks, and the path a visitor chose without asking for a name. We may also record the guide, destination link, broad planning answers, referral campaign tags such as UTM parameters, and timestamps.
The Builder uses an essential session cookie after a private access link is opened. The link and cookie let the correct browser retrieve and save the purchased plan. Treat the private link like a password and avoid posting it in shared chats or public spaces.
Cloudflare may process standard request and security information, including IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and threat signals, to host and protect the website.
How we use information
- Deliver requested downloads, Builder access and product orders.
- Save planning answers and calculate the completed plan.
- Send the occasion updates or planning emails a subscriber requested.
- Understand which guides and planning tools are useful.
- Attribute visits and conversions to campaigns such as Pinterest pins.
- Protect the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep required business records.
- Comply with law and enforce our policies.
Email choices
Submitting an email signup form asks us to send the occasion updates described beside that form. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe method. You may also email hello@theshortplan.com. Transactional messages about an order may still be sent when needed to deliver or support that purchase.
Service providers and sharing
We use Cloudflare for hosting, security and database storage, Google Analytics for privacy-limited audience measurement, Pinterest for privacy-controlled server-side conversion measurement, Brevo for email-list and transactional-message delivery, and Payhip for checkout and digital-order delivery. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services and operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the site, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses local browser storage for a random measurement identifier and your measurement preference. Cloudflare may set essential security cookies. Privacy-limited Google Analytics and server-side Pinterest conversion measurement may run automatically for visitors in the United States and other regions where prior consent is not required. In regions where consent is required or safer, both remain off until you select Allow measurement. You can change the choice at any time through Privacy choices. Google may set analytics cookies and receive page and device information under Google's terms. Google advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals remain disabled. When measurement is allowed, Pinterest may receive an event type, event time, page URL, IP address, and browser user agent. We do not send Pinterest email addresses or enhanced-match identifiers. Clearing browser storage resets the site identifier and measurement preference.
Retention and security
Signup records are kept while you remain subscribed and as needed to honor an unsubscribe request. Order and tax records may be retained for legally required periods. Builder plans and their answers are kept while access remains active and as reasonably needed for delivery, support, disputes and required records. Pseudonymous site-event records are generally retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. Private Builder tokens are stored in hashed form, and browser sessions expire. No internet service can promise perfect security, so please do not put sensitive personal, medical, financial or payment information into a plan or email.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information associated with your email, or withdraw an email subscription. Applicable state or national law may provide additional rights. Send a request to hello@theshortplan.com. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information.
Children
The Short Plan is designed for adults planning personal occasions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, providers or legal obligations change. The updated date at the top will show when a revision took effect. A material change affecting subscribers will be communicated when appropriate.
